Dylan Dreyer has been missing from Today recently, as she revealed her upcoming wedding plans in a family update on air.

The TV star joined co-star Carson Daly in Lake Tahoe, NV, at the 37th annual American Century Championship for golf enthusiasts.

Craig Melvin spoke to the team bright and early at 5:30 a.m. during the live broadcast on July 9, as Carson explained that he's competing in this year's celebrity edition tournament, however, Dylan has other plans.

Dylan joked: "Carson, you just said 'no one's messing around.' That's all I'm doing – is messing around. My golf game stinks. I'm usually in last place here but part of the fun is exactly that vibe."

The TV star shared that although she's out on the field at the fun "adult summer camp," she's not competing this year and for a good reason.

Dylan announced: "Here's the thing…guys I'm not even playing this year. I'm not even playing this year because my niece is getting married in Oregan, so someone else is gonna have to pull up this year – not me."

Carson hilariously interjected: "Yet somehow, you're gonna do better this year then you did last year," as Dylan added: "By not playing, I do better."

Dylan's love of the game

Dylan loves the sport and regardless of the results, she keeps a positive attitude and focuses on enjoying the game itself instead of winning.

During the same tournament last July, Dylan joked during a press conference that the odds of her winning are "5,000 to one," as she transparently noted that she's usually in last place each year.

She also expressed that the weather conditions weren't helping her skillset, adding: "I will say that the wind off of Lake Tahoe made my bad game even worse."

Dylan's take on me-time

The star also competed at the Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions in Lake Nona, Florida this January.

Dylan exclusively expressed to HELLO! just how she's balancing her me-time, thanks to the support of her family.

The mother-of-three shared: "Everybody's taken care of and I get to enjoy myself here, but day to day it's busy and I rest my head on the pillow at night."

The journalist continued: "I'm tired, but I have young children, you know, and it's just a season. It goes by fast."

After competing, she comically shared online: "It was fun while it lasted but I'm still securely in last place."

Dylan wasn't the only celebrity taking part in the celebrity tournament – Don Cheadle, Joey Graziadei and more also participated, while staying at the luxurious Lake Nona Wave Hotel.

After daytime playing hours concluded, guests and competitors enjoyed watching Kelly Clarkson, the Beach Boys and Ella Langley performed onstage.
