Jelly Roll has announced that he is stepping away from touring for up to two years, telling fans he needs time to "heal".
The 41-year-old country music star shared the unexpected news during his July 28 concert at Rice-Eccles Stadium in Salt Lake City, Utah.
"This has truly been a lifetime experience for me," Jelly Roll told the crowd. "In a couple of nights, I go to Colorado Springs and do my last show for a year or two."

Jelly Roll, whose real name is Jason DeFord, did not explain what he was healing from or directly connect the decision to the recent end of his marriage.
However, the announcement came less than two weeks after his divorce from Bunnie Xo was finalized following almost a decade of marriage.

Jelly Roll then performed his final scheduled concert at Weidner Field in Colorado Springs on July 30 alongside Justin Moore and Ashley Cooke. His official touring page currently lists no further dates.
Jelly Roll filed for divorce from Bunnie, whose real name is Alisa DeFord, on May 18, citing irreconcilable differences.

Shortly after filing, the Grammy-winning singer addressed the split during a concert and insisted that neither of them had been unfaithful.

Despite initially presenting a united front, the former couple have since unfollowed each other on Instagram.
