It is an extra special, celebratory weekend for Mark Wahlberg and his family.
On Saturday, August 1, the Ted actor and his wife Rhea Durham celebrated their 17th wedding anniversary, 25 years after they first met at a press junket in New York City.
The couple tied the knot eight years after first meeting, and are parents to four children, Ella, 22, Michael, 20, Brendan, 17, and Grace, 16.
In honor of the special day, both Rhea and Mark took to Instagram to commemorate it, the former sharing loved-up photos of the pair posing in a field of sunflowers.
Among them was one of Mark planting a kiss on Rhea's cheek, and she captioned her post: "Happy Anniversary baby. 8 years- baby daddy. 17 years - married. 24 years together."
Family and fans alike were then quick to take to the comments section under the post and gush over it, among them Mark's brother Donnie Wahlberg's wife Jenny McCarthy, who wrote: "Happy Anniversary," alongside a champagne flute emoji.
Another friend followed suit with: "I love this. I remember way back when we were in Paris at the models apartment and you had just started dating him. You were so calm and so excited," and more wrote: "Happy Anniversary to a rare breed in your world. Wishing you both continued, no matter what love forever," and: "Happy anniversary to THE most amazing couple!!!!" as well as: "Wow cheers for many more years coming together! You're both so adorable! Lots of love for YOU."
Rhea and Mark are based in Las Vegas, having moved out of Los Angeles four years ago, though the latter remains working as an actor, most recently in 2025's The Family Plan 2.
Their youngest daughter Grace is an avid equestrian, and her parents often share glimpses of her competitions, but little is known about the pair's sons and whether their eldest, who could be a junior in college, is currently in university.
Their eldest, Ella, however is a student at Clemson University in South Carolina. "She's just so happy there," Mark said in 2023 speaking with TODAY, adding: "She's really thriving so I understand. Obviously, it's more difficult for moms, because when you have a child, your own existence revolves around taking care and nurturing this child and helping them grow. But you're giving life and they go off and do their thing, and hopefully, they come back and spend time with you."
The Wahlberg-Durham family has been living in Las Vegas since 2022, and have gushed about the decision. Mark, opening up about leaving Los Angeles during another appearance on TODAY in 2023, noted: "You have Las Vegas, and people think automatically, 'Oh, the Strip.' But [in] Nevada, there are wonderful communities."
Though he admitted to missing California and its weather, he added that the kids "are thriving" in their new hometown, and further shared: "I live in a wonderful community that's really faith-based, great schools. There's much more to Las Vegas than the Strip."
