Jennifer Garner is dedicated to her fitness routine, and the results are showing. The actress took to her Instagram Stories on August 12 to share a post-workout mirror selfie that flaunted her toned figure.
The snap captured Jennifer posing in a black sports bra and matching lycra leggings as she held up her phone to the mirror. Her luscious locks were left down in an effortless side parting and she opted for a makeup-free complexion. She accessorised with an Apple watch to no doubt track her fitness levels. Jennifer's arms and abs looked particularly sculpted in the picture.
Alongside the image, she penned: "Post @bethjnicely and @thelimitfit we have to get it done, ladies."
Jennifer Garner's workout routine and diet
Jennifer's workout routine combines low-impact sessions with high-intensity training and weight-lifting. "I realised that I had pursued strength and stamina at the expense of mobility, so I’m incorporating things I haven’t done in so long, like yoga. I have to back up to go forward," she told Marie Claire.
She blends The Limit with Beth Nicely with gyrotonics, which she calls her "favorite". Gyrotonics is a low-impact movement system that uses specialized equipment to enhance the body's natural, three-dimensional spiralling and circular motions. It improves spinal flexibility, functional strength, and overall balance by linking movement with breath, creating greater energy, core strength, and mind-body awareness.
The actress also enjoys trampolining as a form of cardio and often films herself bouncing on a mini trampoline from the pleasure of her home. Jennifer resides in a $7.4 million farmhouse-style property in Brentwood, Los Angeles. She acquired the land back in 2019 following her divorce from Ben Affleck.
"I’m so excited to show you my kitchen because, since the day I moved in, this is the first time ever that the counter’s been clean," she told Architectural Digest. "I love a wood kitchen. So, the house really is like being inside a treehouse."
According to an interview with Harper's Bazaar, when it comes to Jennifer's first meal of the day, it's "coffee, coffee and more coffee". For breakfast, "it's full fat yoghurt, berries and nuts."
For a snack, her go-to is an apple, "cut up and put back together" and paired with peanut butter. Jennifer's lunch consists of a salad made with "arugula salad, dark greens, chopped up veggies and whatever is fresh in the garden". She then will add brown rice, cheese, nuts or sweet potato.
When it comes to dinner, she relies on recipes by Ina Garten – including roast chicken, beef Bourguignon or a salmon dish as protein. However, for a takeaway treat she opts for pizza with a salad on top.
