Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos opened up about their shared finances during the August 21 episode of LIVE!. The hosts discussed how many couples are opting to have separate bank accounts – something that Mark believed could cause concern due to "financial infidelity".
"When one partner is not forthcoming about where the money is going," he explained. "I'm never forthcoming about that," admitted Kelly. "Right. I just assume it's going," replied Mark.
Kelly then shared an honest confession about her spending habits. "I always make up a story (about where the money is going) that I think you will find palatable. I know you assume that it's going, but I always fudge where it's going and how it's going. You know, you don't need to know," she said.
© Getty Images"I don't ask any questions," replied Mark. "No, you don't. But if you were, I have a story ready," added Kelly. Seemingly unbothered by Kelly admission, Mark responded: "Alright, you don't need it."
"In case you ever asked a question, I have a full story totally prepared. So, you won't even know it's a story. It's gonna fly off my tongue seamlessly. Go ahead, ask me something," urged Kelly.

"I think my kids feel very fortunate in general," Kelly told Amanda Hirsch on the Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast, explaining that "they don't have student loans."
She continued: "There's a comfort in knowing my kids got to graduate knowing that they weren't having to climb out of a mountain of debt. They are so appreciative and so grateful."
