A historic Los Angeles estate that the late actor Tim Curry spent years carefully restoring was sold merely hours after news of his death broke. The sprawling home, which is located in Los Feliz, was purchased by the star in 1993 for $650,000.

Renovated with a European-inspired aesthetic, the home features four bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms. Beige walls, dark hardwood flooring, and warm textiles create a cozy, inviting ambiance throughout. "It was the most beautiful and comfortable house I’d ever been to," Tim shared in an interview with Architectural Digest. "There was an extraordinary range of paintings and just the sort of patina – and obsessions – of several centuries of people who’d lived there, with everything having a layer of dog over it. A great jumble it was, all arranged by an eye."

Tim sold the property for $2.6 million in 2001. It came to be owned by a slew of stars, including Robert Pattinson, Noah Wyle, and Jim Parsons. The Los Feliz property was put on the market for just under $10 million in July 2025. The price was then cut to $7.5 million on August 6, 2025. Listed with Ben Belack of Alex Everest, the records now show that the property has come under "contingent" offer.

"This transportive residence made its Architectural Digest debut in August 1924, just two years after completion. It returned to the magazine's pages in 1998, documenting Tim Curry's meticulous restoration of the property's original details: exposed wood-beam ceilings, hand-painted surfaces, stained-glass windows, iridescent copper, and vintage tile," reads the listing.

"The years have brought a remarkable procession of custodians, including [former NBA star] Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Noah Wyle, Robert Pattinson, Jim Parsons, and Aaron Paul, who engaged Commune Design in 2019 to bring the property forward without disturbing their century of character."

"I still can't walk, which is why I'm in this silly chair, and that's very limiting," he told the audience at a special 50th anniversary screening of The Rocky Horror Picture Show in 2025. "So, I won't be singing, and I won't be dancing very soon. I still have real problems with my left leg."
