The TODAY family is growing!

On the Monday, August 31 installment of TODAY's 3rd Hour, contributor Emilie Ikeda, subbing in for Al Roker while he's on vacation, announced that she is expecting her first baby with her husband Pat.

The NBC correspondent revealed that she is five months pregnant, due in January, leaving her co-anchors Dylan Dreyer and Craig Melvin in shock as she shared the news. 

Emilie, who joined NBC in 2021, further shared that she and her husband, who she married in 2022, would be waiting until she gives birth to find out their baby's sex.
