<span class="fr-deletable" contenteditable="false" data-type="mention/taxonomy"><a contenteditable="true" data-id="14134" data-name="Dylan Dreyer" data-slug="14134" href="taxonomies/14134">Dylan Dreyer</a></span>’s career is far from easy. While she may look effortlessly television-ready each day as she takes to the <em id="eFiM8H_rRqt"><span class="fr-deletable" contenteditable="false" data-type="mention/taxonomy"><a contenteditable="true" data-id="15857" data-name="Today Show" data-slug="15857" href="taxonomies/15857">Today Show</a></span></em>, maintaining that polished appearance requires plenty of discipline, dedication, and some seriously early mornings.
The meteorologist took to Instagram on August 12 to share an insight into her morning routine for the show. Dylan is currently on assignment in Ketchikan, Alaska, and due to the 4-hour time difference, she was forced to way up extremely early to appear on camera.
Alongside a screenshot of her phone alarm set to 1:30 AM, Dylan penned: This time difference is no joke. See you on the <em id="ewVisQxb-AC">Today Show</em> morning live from Ketchikan, Alaska! (What time is she getting up? Idaho…Alaska…get it? No? Ok goodnight)."
Dylan has been an anchor on the NBC Third Hour show since 2012. Dylan studied meteorology at Rutgers University, and initially received a lot of "nos" after sending out her tape to TV productions.
She told <em id="ed-I--CJpOP">Today.com</em>: "I never had a goal to be at the <em id="eAgeXeyMRE">Today Show</em>. I thought I was going to set up shop in Boston. I met my husband up there and we were just going to buy a house and live in Boston. Then this opportunity came along. But I always said 'yes' to the opportunities."
She continued: "I am who I am because I said 'yes.' So even if something's scary, even if people are trying to say you need this or that, say 'yes' to all of it and just absorb it all and you'll get where you want to go whether that was your goal or not."
How Dylan Dreyer balances her family life and career
Dylan shares three sons, Calvin, Oliver, and Rusty with her ex-husband, Brian Fichera. The couple met while working at the same news station in Boston and tied the knot in 2012. Dylan and Brian moved to New York City and welcomed Calvin in 2016, Oliver in 2020, and Rusty in 2021. The news anchor filed for divorce in March 2026 following 12 years of marriage.
The NBC star launched her own podcast, <em id="el7JWV03Pcf">The Parent Chat with Dylan Dreyer</em>, in conjunction with <em id="eLsU9FoowJ">Today </em>on April 2. However, just before Christmas, she and her three sons settled into her new home in the suburbs of Long Island following her divorce.
