Shania Twain was glowing in a recent lakeside photo as she relished in the new chapter that awaits after turning 61 a few days ago.
The star celebrated her special day on August 28, and since then she's been taking it easy.
The singer has been enjoying her last moments of summer as she revealed on social media that her days off include taking a boat ride out on the lake.
In her latest post, Shania donned a full denim look, a messy bun and sunglasses for her day in the great outdoors.
She captioned the carousel: "Summer evening on the lake," as fans flocked to the comments.
One person wrote: "I'm very envious! I wish I was there!" A second follower added: "So beautiful, stunning, amazing and beautiful sunset too... Enjoy every minute. XXX."
A third fan continued: "Looks so peaceful! Loving the denim-on-demin," while another person commented: "You look at peace out there, enjoy."
On her birthday, the performer got sentimental in another post, as she reflected on her previous decades and opened up about her mother Sharon Morrison Twain, who sadly passed away in a car accident along with her father Clarence Edwards, when she was 22.
She candidly shared: "Well, the past year flew by – today is my 61st Birthday and I've spent most of the year reflecting and looking backwards. One of the strange and emotional things about getting older is realizing that my mother only ever knew me up to the age of 22. She never met the 30-year-old me, the 40, the 50, the 60, or me now."
The singer reflected: "I've felt my mother threaded through so much of what I've been doing this year with the Little Miss Twain album... Sometimes I have to stop and think about how completely unbelievable all of this would have sounded to that little girl and to my mother! My dream at the time was to be able to busk in the streets of Toronto, I didn't imagine something bigger, that seemed such a leap from where I was."
Shania has new goals set in place for this decade of her life, sharing: "Moving forward and now looking ahead, I plan to be kind to myself and others. It's what the world needs now. I want to enjoy these moments for exactly what they are and do as many new things as I can."
The entertainer shows no signs of slowing down – in fact, she has a lot more on her bucket list to accomplish.
She added: "There are still so many things I dream of I would need another 500 years to get them all done. I want to face the things that scare me and enjoy the things that please me. So cheers everyone, to appreciating the path behind you and the one in front of you equally."
