Salma Hayek is embracing a brand new way of living – in Paris!

The actress, who celebrated her milestone 60th birthday earlier this month, and her husband François-Henri Pinault have maintained many residences around the world over the years, from the Hollywood Hills to London to Mexico.

However, it looks like the couple have officially put down roots in Paris full-time, at least for the time being, with the star opening up about her new life in an interview with The Cut, interviewed by her friend and Without Blood director Angelina Jolie.

Salma explained that she felt "quite excited" about being in her 60s and embracing a brand new decade of life. "I feel young. I'm sorry — no, no, no, I'm not gonna apologize," she continued.

"It is good for me to be at this age. I am at my best today. The funny contradiction is that, as women, as we get older, we have more things to say and we can say them more clearly. Yet we have less opportunities to say them. Makes no sense."

When reflecting on motherhood as an "empty nester" as well, she added: "I'm excited to learn how to be there for my kids in this new era of their life, which means I have to relearn everything again."

Salma and François-Henri share one daughter, 18-year-old Valentina, and through her husband, she is also a stepmom to François Pinault Jr., 38, Mathilde, 25, and Augustin, 19. Recently, François Jr. welcomed his first child, a son also named François, making Salma a first-time grandmother.

The actress recently also became a grandmother through her stepson François Jr.

And with the family now based in Paris, not only does it give her the chance to spend more time with her kids, but also her husband. "I'm excited to continue to evolve in my wonderful relationship with my husband and to continue to discover each other," the Frida star gushed.

"I am loving my life in Paris right now. I am in a new house, and my oldest daughter comes by every day. I'm enjoying her as an adult living in the same city. She has her own apartment."

The Oscar-nominated star noted that while she had spent a lot of time in Paris already, this was her first time living there full time. "I was coming to Paris a lot but more on the weekends. Now I'm full time in Paris only."

"It's just a whole new life for me," she continued. "The kids are out of the house; I'm an empty nester." She even joked about getting Angelina to move there with her, now that she's moving out of Los Angeles. "I almost convinced you to move to Paris for a minute. You considered. I'm like, 'Come on, girl, you can't leave me alone there.' You want somewhere more wild."

Mom-of-six Angelina quipped in response: "We've had some fun. I needed to have some fun. You met me in a dark time in my life, and you've made me smile."
