Happy birthday, Anne Bancroft!

The Golden Age of Hollywood icon would've celebrated her birthday on September 17. Born in 1931 in New York City, Anne developed a love for acting early on.

She studied with the American Academy of Dramatic Arts and the famed Actors Studio before making her movie debut in 1952's Don't Bother to Knock, kicking off an illustrious career.

The '50s were a prosperous time for Anne, who not only starred in nearly 20 films by the end of the decade and won two Tony Awards, but also established herself as the newest beauty in town with some truly stunning photoshoots.
