Joshua Jackson debuted a whole new look on social media on Tuesday amid a relaxing getaway with his six-year-old daughter, Juno, whom he shares with actress Jodie Turner-Smith.

The 48-year-old shared a selfie from his trip away with Juno that saw him sipping from a mug while sitting on a beach chair. He appeared to be sporting a mullet-style haircut, with haphazard curls on top of his head and shaved sides, with gray hairs peeking out.

Joshua also had a grown-out beard, making him appear more rugged and roguish. "Thank you @fsnevis for hosting my daughter and I for the 20th annual Sea Turtle Week," he wrote in the caption, alongside other snaps from their getaway.

"The camp is amazing, the conservation work @conserveturtles does is amazing, everyone at the hotel was amazing (by mid-week they were all calling my daughter by her name…a kindness a dad will remember forever)."

The actor's new hairstyle was a far cry from his usual polished look

"There is no greater joy than watching JR play and grow, and I can't thank you enough for giving us this time together," he added. "(Also…I got to read an entire book. Cover to cover. Parents, [if you know, you know])."

Fans couldn't get enough of the Dawson's Creek star's new look, with one writing in the comment section: "Just when you think he can't get any hotter," while another added: "Hot haircut," and a third chimed in: "Is that a MULLET?"

Another said: "Hello handsome," while a fifth declared: "The modern mullet! Very stylish," and another added: "Love the hair."

Co-parenting with Jodie

Joshua is a dedicated parent to Juno, whom he and his ex-wife, Jodie, welcomed in April 2020. Although the couple split in 2023 and finalized their divorce two years later, they have worked hard on their friendship for the sake of their daughter, as Jodie shared on the Joy 101 podcast.

"I'm a child of divorce myself, and so is my ex-husband. So it's always been important to think about, 'Okay, what is the language around which we are going to talk about this with our daughter?' Because it is her new reality," Jodie explained. "We're learning as well and not always getting it totally right – but the idea is always two homes filled with love. And I'm like, 'You got two houses, girl.'"

She added that using children's books to explain their family situation to Juno had helped more than anything else. "I read her so many books about divorce, about what that means. About what that new world is, about what is supposed to be happening, what's not supposed to be happening."

Breaking the cycle

Joshua shared that becoming a father had healed his own childhood wounds

Meanwhile, Joshua is loving fatherhood and shared on the Dinner's On Me podcast that he was working to break the cycle of neglect that his own father created. "My father's response to difficulty was to run away. And instead of doing that, I've had the opportunity to give my daughter the opposite experience," he said. "I am surprised at how much of the experience of fatherhood is self-healing."

He added: "It's my job, shared with my ex-wife, to do everything we can to nurture you, cultivate you, and give you all the tools you need in life. But man, it is not lost on me that I am getting an opportunity to experience a father's love in a way that I never experienced it."
