Bindi Irwin's daughter Grace looked every inch her mother's mini-me in a collection of family photographs posted on Instagram, sharing her wide smile as they cuddled together outdoors.
The conservationist posed alongside her little girl and husband Chandler Powell among the trees, captioning the images: "Sunshine in my heart."
Fans were quick to comment on how much Grace had grown. "How is Grace THIS big already?!" one wrote. "I swear she was tiny approximately five minutes ago!"
Another recalled watching Bindi grow up herself: "Some of us remember Bindi at Grace's age. She was the light of her parents hearts." Bindi's mother Terri also joined the comments, writing: "Such precious moments." Chandler added an affectionate message of his own: "Grace and I are grateful for you every day."
In one particularly sweet image, Bindi wrapped both arms around Grace and rested her cheek against her daughter's head. Grace snuggled into the embrace, wearing a pink knitted jumper and a pale tulle skirt decorated with bright red hearts.
Another photograph showed mother and daughter holding hands as they sat on a tree stump. Grace grinned towards someone out of shot while Bindi looked down at her, their matching expressions making the family resemblance especially clear.
Bindi wore an olive-green shirt embroidered with her name, matching trousers and walking shoes, leaving her long brown hair loose. Grace's pink leggings complemented her jumper, while her hair was pulled back with a pink tie.
Bindi Irwin's family photos with Grace and Chandler Powell
Chandler joined them for a black-and-white portrait, wearing an Australia Zoo shirt with the sleeves rolled up and a pair of shorts.
Standing beside his wife and daughter, he looked down at Grace as she tipped her face upwards and flashed a toothy grin. Bindi was caught mid-laugh beside her, holding her daughter's hand.
The photographs offered an affectionate glimpse of the family of three, whose two biggest celebrations fall on the same date.
Bindi and Chandler married at Australia Zoo on March 25, 2020, and welcomed Grace exactly a year later. This March, they celebrated their sixth wedding anniversary alongside their daughter's fifth birthday.
Marking the occasion on Instagram, Bindi described March 25 as "the most meaningful day of my life".
What Bindi Irwin said about raising Grace at Australia Zoo
Like her mother, Grace grew up surrounded by wildlife, with Australia Zoo providing a rather extraordinary setting for everyday family life.
Speaking to SheKnows in May 2026, Bindi described the freedom her daughter enjoyed while growing up among the animals.
"Grace is a free-range kid; she just runs around and has so much fun with all of our animals," she said.
Bindi also explained that those encounters were an opportunity to teach kindness. She believed spending time around animals helped Grace develop empathy and encouraged other parents to give their children opportunities to connect with nature.
That approach echoed Bindi's own upbringing alongside her late father, Steve Irwin, mother Terri and younger brother Robert.
Bindi Irwin saw Steve Irwin's personality in Grace
While Grace resembled her mother in the family portraits, Bindi previously revealed that her daughter's adventurous personality reminded her of someone else.
During a June 2025 appearance on Not Gonna Lie with Kylie Kelce, she explained that Grace was eager to join in with the zoo's activities, including feeding crocodiles.
Bindi and Chandler introduced her gradually to animals such as tortoises and wombats, while teaching her about boundaries and animal behaviour.
"But Grace, oh my goodness, she is a wild child. I mean, she has my dad's personality," Bindi said.
Bindi Irwin and Chandler Powell's marriage
The family's connection to Australia Zoo extended to Bindi and Chandler's wedding, which took place there during the early days of the pandemic.
Their intimate ceremony was attended by Terri, Robert and Steve's close friend Wes Mannion. Robert walked his sister down the aisle, while the couple found ways to honour her late father.
Six years later, Chandler marked their anniversary by reflecting on how their relationship had grown since becoming parents. He wrote that he was even more in love with Bindi than on their wedding day. Bindi responded: "So grateful for our life together. I love you."
Bindi Irwin's wish to include Grace in a vow renewal
Bindi previously spoke to HELLO! about wanting another opportunity to celebrate their marriage with loved ones who could not attend the original ceremony.
In the 2023 interview, she explained that a future vow renewal would also allow their daughter to be part of the occasion.
"Personally, I'd love to renew our vows one day when Grace is older," she told HELLO!.
