Sarah Michelle Gellar's daughter, Charlotte, found a novel way to bend her parents' rule forbidding her from appearing on a big screen before she graduates high school.
According to the Buffy the Vampire Slayer alum, 49, the 17-year-old has expressed an interest in acting, but she is not allowed "in front of a camera until she graduates."
However, on Sunday, November 1, Charlotte unexpectedly made her big-screen debut.
The teenager joined her mom at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, CA, to watch the Los Angeles Rams defeat the Los Angeles Chargers.
During the game, Charlotte's face was broadcast to the entire stadium as she appeared on the Infinity Screen, suspended 122 feet above the playing field.
With a huge smile, Charlotte looked delighted to be captured on screen, and her mom didn't seem to mind either, sharing a photo of the moment on her Instagram Stories on Monday.
Sarah Michelle also posted a photo of the duo at the stadium, both sporting huge grins and sunglasses, which she captioned: "My built in bestie @charlotteprinze."
The actress shares Charlotte and her son Rocky, 14, with her husband of 24 years, Freddie Prinze Jr., 50, whom she met in 1997 on the set of I Know What You Did Last Summer.
The couple is very protective of their children and rarely posts photos of them on social media, with Sarah Michelle previously revealing that she and Freddie are "stricter than most" parents, especially regarding Charlotte's aspirations to follow in their footsteps.
"We have rules in place," Sarah explained. "[She] can't be in front of a camera until she graduates high school. I'll never stop her from being on a set. But she's just not going on camera while she's living under our roof. There'll be different expectations for her, so she needs to learn everything there is first."
It won't be long before Charlotte graduates, as she turned 17 in September. For her birthday, Sarah Michelle shared a rare photograph of the pair and a heartfelt message about their close relationship.
In the image, the actress is turned towards her daughter with her lips pursed for a kiss as Charlotte smiled at the camera.
Charlotte wore a pink patterned dress with ruffled sleeves and a delicate pendant necklace, leaving her long brunette hair lose over her shoulders. Sarah Michelle wore a pale satin top with thin straps, adding layered necklaces and styling her blonde hair in soft waves.
Posing together outdoors, the mother and daughter were framed by trees and the exterior of a house.
"Yesterday was my best friend's birthday," she wrote alongside the photograph, adding a birthday cake emoji and tagging Charlotte. "I'm not sure how you are 17 already."
She continued: "You may have been the child that made me a mom, but now you are the person that brings out the best in me. (Not to mention my biggest champion) Thank you... for being you."
