This over-40-year-long Hollywood friendship has humble roots as Matt Damon and Ben Affleck started out as neighbours, living just a couple of blocks apart.
They pooled their money into a joint checking account, saving up for auditions. Eventually, the pair co-wrote and starred in acclaimed 1997 feature Good Will Hunting which won an Oscar for Best Original Screenplay.

Jack Lemmon & Walter Matthau
Jack Lemmon and Walter Matthau were Hollywood gold on and off screen. They co-starred in several projects, including The Odd Couple and Grumpy Old Men, pairing Jack's high-strung energy against Walter's more relaxed nature.
Their bond lasted around 40 years, with the pair living near each other in Los Angeles and enjoying regular games of golf together. The pair are buried next to one another and died almost exactly one year apart, Walter in 2000 and Jack in 2001.
