The hosts of NBC's TODAY wear multiple hats, and sometimes, it all overlaps.
On the latest iteration of the morning news show, the show's beloved meteorologist Al Roker had to step away in the middle of the broadcast.
© Getty ImagesViewers can rest assured, though, as anchor Savannah Guthrie clarified that he simply had to duck out to head on an assignment, with Dylan Dreyer stepping in on the main show for the forecast. You can watch that moment in the video above.
Al remained away from the broadcast for the following Third Hour as well, with Craig Melvin and Dylan joined instead by Savannah Sellers. Craig mentioned once again that their regular co-host "had to run out for an announcement."

He currently appears on the main show with co-hosts Craig and Savannah, with Carson Daly helming the Pop Start segments. Al, Craig and Dylan co-anchor the Third Hour of TODAY, followed by the Fourth Hour aka TODAY with Jenna & Sheinelle with Jenna Bush Hager and Sheinelle Jones.
