Anne Hathaway made a striking appearance outside The Drew Barrymore Show in New York on September 30, wearing an off-the-shoulder black outfit with a sheer panel that revealed her baby bump.
The actress, 43, who is expecting her third child with husband Adam Shulman, was photographed in Midtown during her latest round of promotional appearances for Verity. Her television outing followed the film's New York premiere the previous evening.
Anne's outfit combined a softly folded neckline with fitted, translucent sleeves and long panels of fabric that fell almost to the pavement. Beneath the draped top, she wore flowing black trousers, creating the sweeping silhouette of an evening gown.
She finished the look with dark sunglasses, sparkling earrings and stacked silver-toned bangles. A statement ring and burgundy manicure added the finishing touches, while open-toed black shoes peeked out beneath her trousers. Her brunette hair fell loosely over her shoulders, and she smiled for the cameras beside a waiting vehicle.
Anne Hathaway's latest maternity look
The appearance continued a busy week for Anne, who attended the Verity premiere at AMC Lincoln Square on September 29.
For that occasion, stylist Erin Walsh dressed her in a black Prabal Gurung design with a mermaid silhouette, lace detailing and a sheer, glittering cape. Anne accessorised with a diamond bracelet and teardrop earrings.
Her daytime outfit took a softer approach to the same all-black palette. The opaque fabric across her shoulders contrasted with the delicate mesh beneath, while the open draping framed the front of the top.
By keeping her neckline free of jewellery, Anne allowed the folded fabric and shoulder-baring cut to remain the focus.
Preparing to become a family of five
Anne announced her pregnancy in June, sharing an Instagram video that revealed her growing bump. She and Adam are already parents to Jonathan, ten, and Jack, six.
During a July appearance on Late Night With Seth Meyers, Anne admitted that the news had taken the couple by surprise. "We knew what we were doing but … we were so shocked it went this way," she said, before joking that they were "calling this one our buzzer-beater". The basketball reference prompted a conversation about adjusting to life with three children, with Anne asking the presenter for advice.
She offered another family update during an August appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, telling guest host Anthony Anderson that her sons were excited about their new sibling.
"It feels really beautiful. It feels like the family's having a baby," she said. Anne also explained that she and Adam knew their baby's sex but had decided to keep that information private.
A busy year before the new arrival
Alongside preparations at home, Anne has been promoting an unusually packed slate of films. Her 2026 releases include Mother Mary, The Devil Wears Prada 2, The Odyssey and The End of Oak Street, with Verity completing the line-up.
The psychological thriller, which opens on October 2, sees Anne play author Verity Crawford opposite Dakota Johnson and Josh Hartnett. Adapted from Colleen Hoover's novel, it follows a writer hired to complete another author's successful book series.
The parenting tip she borrowed from Princess Kate
Anne has previously shared how becoming a mother changed the way she communicates, including adopting a technique she noticed Prince William and Princess Kate using with their children.
Speaking on The View in 2019, she explained that getting down to Jonathan's eye level helped her understand his perspective. "I started doing it and I swear it made a difference," she said.
