Lisa Bonet made a rare public appearance during Paris Fashion Week, arriving at the Celine show with her silver hair flowing to her waist.

The actress, 58, who became a household name playing Denise Huxtable in The Cosby Show, wore her long locks loose for the outing, with grey lengths taking centre stage in photographs from the event.

Lisa has largely kept away from the Hollywood spotlight in recent years, making her appearance at the French fashion house's show a welcome sight for fans of the television star.

Lisa's silver hair

While her waist-length hair attracted attention in Paris, Lisa has been wearing visible grey strands for years. Photographs from the 2012 Hamilton Behind the Camera Awards showed silver at her roots, alongside a partially shaved hairstyle and long locs. Her hair has since become progressively greyer, with the latest appearance showing the striking silver lengths.

Long hair has remained a familiar part of Lisa's look throughout those changes, from the darker locs she wore at earlier red carpet events to her more recent salt-and-pepper styles.

From The Cosby Show to A Different World

Lisa rose to fame as Denise, the independently minded Huxtable daughter whose distinctive wardrobe helped make her one of television's most recognisable characters.

She went on to lead the first season of A Different World, which premiered in 1987 and followed Denise to the fictional Hillman College. Lisa later returned to The Cosby Show, while the spin-off continued with its ensemble cast.

Her subsequent film work included Enemy of the State and High Fidelity. The latter title would also become part of her daughter Zoë Kravitz's career, with Zoë starring in the television adaptation.

Lisa's Paris appearance comes amid renewed interest in A Different World following its Netflix revival. The new series has prompted questions about whether she might return as Denise. Her former colleagues Jasmine Guy, Cree Summer and Darryl M. Bell recently discussed that possibility, but a future appearance by Lisa remains unconfirmed.

Lisa's famous family

Away from acting, Lisa is a mother of three. She shares her eldest daughter, actress and director Zoë, with her former husband, musician Lenny Kravitz. Zoë has followed both parents into the entertainment industry, with roles in Big Little Lies and The Batman, before making her feature directing debut with Blink Twice in 2024.

Lisa is also mother to daughter Lola and son Nakoa-Wolf with her former husband, Aquaman actor Jason Momoa. The former couple publicly announced their separation in January 2022, sharing a joint statement that emphasised their continuing commitment to their children.

"The love between us carries on, evolving in ways it wishes to be known and lived," they wrote on Instagram.

Their divorce became final in July 2024. Since then, they have continued to share family milestones, including reuniting for Lola's high school graduation earlier this year.
