Days of Our Lives star Robert Kelker-Kelly has passed away aged 62, with police arriving at his home in St. Peters, Missouri, just after 8 p.m. on October 3.
The St. Peters Police Department confirmed that they responded to a report of an unconscious man and, upon arrival, found that CPR was being administered to Robert.
The actor had complained of chest pain, per reports, and there were no suspicious circumstances surrounding his passing. His cause of death is yet to be revealed.
Building his career
Robert was best known for his work on soap operas like Days of Our Lives and General Hospital, and he won the Soap Opera Digest Award for Outstanding Lead Actor in 1994.
He was born in Kansas and attended the Wichita Collegiate School before briefly studying at the University of Kansas.
He then left school to pursue his acting dreams and struggled to make ends meet before landing his breakout role on Another World in 1987.
"At the time I got cast on Another World, I was homeless, sleeping in my Jeep, or on anyone's floor that I could, and working as a secretary for a headhunter's office in LA. God, I had forgotten that," he previously told We Love Soaps.
His time on Days of Our Lives
Robert then took over the role of Bo Brady on Days of Our Lives from Peter Reckell in 1992, starring opposite Lisa Rinna and Kristian Alfonso.
"I knew Reckell was popular in the part, and I was ready for some opposition, but it never came," he told The Daily American. "Bo is a bit on the edge. He's fun to play because he's not a hero at all. He rushed in there whenever his emotions tell him to, and he doesn't put up with a lot of crap from others."
Despite being a fan favorite on the show, Lisa later alleged in her 2026 book You Better Believe I'm Gonna Talk About It that Robert was verbally abusive and manipulative towards her on the Days of Our Lives set.
"If I didn't do what he wanted, he'd give me the silent treatment," she wrote. "He was a ticking time bomb. I never knew when I arrived on set each morning if I'd get nice Robert Kelker-Kelly or dark Robert Kelker-Kelly. He was unpredictable, and it was exhausting." Robert never responded to Lisa's allegations.
Stepping away from the spotlight
The star left the show in 1995 before joining the cast of General Hospital in 2001 as Stavros Cassadine, and reprised his role several times over the years. Robert stepped back from acting in the early '00s to pursue a career as a pilot, and has also sporadically worked as an acting teacher over the years.
As for his romantic relationships, Robert was married to actress Linda Rattner from 1988 to 1992, and to his Days of Our Lives co-star Miriam Parrish from 1997 to 2013. He is survived by his daughter, Amelia Rose Kelly.
