The countdown has officially begun for the TODAY Show hosts for their trip across the pond.

On October 16, the NBC morning show will kick off a special broadcast, one that'll see all four hours of the show hosted in County Kerry, Ireland at Sheen Falls Lodge, sponsored by Tourism Ireland.

While the show's meteorologist Al Roker flew over to Ireland a few days before the rest, the timer really began on Wednesday, October 14, with Savannah Guthrie and Carson Daly flying down to set up shop before the others join them.

The hosts shared news of the move back in September, with the broadcast airing on October 16

The move is particularly poignant for Savannah, who said on the show when the news of their Irish broadcast was shared that it had a special connection to her mom Nancy Guthrie, who has tragically been missing since February.

"It's funny because I love that we're all going. I've never been to Ireland. My mother's family – my mother was Irish. Her grandmother – they were from Galway," she remarked on TODAY back in September.
