Florence Pugh is a master of the red carpet. But the East of Eden actress just had a major mishap that happened to involve Jenna Ortega.
Florence, 30, walked the red carpet at the Klara and the Sun premiere on Thursday, October 15, and accidentally ran into Jenna, 24. The Oscar-nominated actress poked Jenna in the face with her gown – which was embellished with sculptural shoulders.
Florence, who wore a pastel blue Rodarte Spring/Summer 2026 gown with embroidered floral details, immediately went to apologize to the Wednesday actress, and the sweet moment was captured by dozens of photographers on the carpet at the 70th BFI London Film Festival at BFI Southbank in London.
"Oh my god. I just bumped you in the face, I'm so sorry!" Florence told Jenna, in a video taken by MTV UK. Ever the cool girl, Jenna waved it off and introduced Florence to her Klara and the Sun co-star Amy Adams.
On the carpet, Jenna stunned in a gold Torlowei slip dress. The lingerie gown was crafted from glossy silk and featured contrasting black lace embroidery adorned on the bodice. Delicate floral embellishments cascaded down the skirt for a romantic finish. The gown featured a figure-hugging silhouette with a plunging neckline and razor-thin spaghetti straps. Jenna completed the look with a yellow lace cap.
After the hilarious moment between Florence and Jenna, the three A-listers briefly held hands before posing for a photo with producer Rachel Forman.
Inside Taika Waititi's Klara and the Sun
Jenna stars in Taika Waititi's Klara and the Sun, an adaptation of Nobel Prize-winning author Kazuo Ishiguro's novel. The movie is set for release in theaters on October 23 via Sony Pictures Releasing. Set in a dystopian future where genetic modification divides society, the story follows Klara – an android who forms a bond with an ill young girl named Josie.
The Scream actress portrays Klara, alongside Amy, Mia Tharia, Aran Murphy (Oscar-winning actor Cillian Murphy's son), Steve Buscemi and Natasha Lyonne.
Florence Pugh's busy fall
While Florence isn't in Klara and the Sun, she walked the red carpet in support of her friends. The Don't Worry Darling actress has had quite a busy fall. Florence stars in Zoe Kazan's captivating adaptation of John Steinbeck's classic 1952 family saga, East of Eden.
The seven-part historical drama, which premiered on October 1, stars Florence as the formidable Cathy Ames, whose complex life becomes entangled with brothers Adam (Christopher Abbott) and Charles Trask (Mike Faist), spanning the turbulent decades between the Civil War and World War I.
Fans are loving East of Eden so far, with one person taking to social media saying: "Absolutely brilliant show. Best I've seen in a long, long time."
