Kate Hudson just provided us all with the ultimate winter swimwear inspiration – and her abs are giving serious figure envy.
The actress took to Instagram on October 20 to share a series of throwback photographs taken over the last few months. One picture captured Kate posing on a sun-soaked beach in Hawaii. The 47-year-old wore a swimwear ensemble from LSPACE that consisted of the Daria Bikini Top and Riannon Bikini Bottom in a stunning black-and-cream hue.
Kate accessorized the bikini with a navy cap and her luscious blonde locks were swept back into an effortless updo. "Mentally still here," she penned in the caption.
The star was on vacation in Hawaii for her friend Jennifer Meyer's wedding celebrations. She also rocked a striking red bikini look during the trip as she enjoyed a sizzling beach day. The photograph showed Kate sunbathing on a white towel on the sand. She wore a strapless bandeau top with a central ring detail and matching briefs. Dark sunglasses and a gold necklace completed her beach look, while her blonde hair was swept up with a white flower accessory.
Further pictures in the post showed the star dressed in a glittering champagne-hued gown that featured a strapless, corseted bodice and flowing silhouette. The garment boasted mesh detailing on the skirt and was embellished with intricate sequins for a glistening effect.
Kate Hudson's secret to toned figure
Kate certainly puts in the work for those washboard abs. "I need to be moving to feel good," she told People in August last year. "Even just making time for a little movement every day – going for a walk, doing a few minutes on the treadmill, some Pilates, or if I have more time for it, I love hot yoga." She continued: "I really enjoy sweating it out, and it helps me clear my mind. It’s not just about trying to look good physically, it’s important to get oxygen to my brain and feel like my blood is really circulating. I love skiing, walking, hiking and especially riding my bike. It makes me feel like a kid again!."
Kate also explained that dieting "puts so much pressure on people to lose weight quickly". "Getting healthy is not a two-week process, it’s a change of life-style," she shared. The star trains with Brian Nguyenm with the fitness routine focused on strength exercises. "One day, I tuned in and I was like ... I don’t feel strong, I feel long and I love my Pilates but as I get older... am I doing enough (strength) exercises?," she told TODAY.
