Alice Cooper looked absolutely unrecognizable in his '60s throwback photo from his high school years.

It's hard to imagine the rocker without his signature long black hair and smokey eyes, however, he looked completely different when he was a student at Cortez High School in Arizona.

In the picture, Alice, whose real name is Vincent Furnier, was spotted with a short hairstyle with bangs, a white button-up shirt, a black tie, and a gray blazer.

His fans loved the throwback post and flocked to the comments. One person wrote: "Handsome." A second follower joked: "Apparently Alice Cooper was 43 when he left school."

Others mentioned his earlier years inspiring his popular album School's Out, with one person writing: "LOL. The inspiration for School's Out forever?" A second fan added: "School's Out! Now remind me not to cut my hair for another 10 years."

About Alice Cooper's career

Alice got his start in high school during his school's talent show, for which he created his band the Earwigs.

The group dressed up as The Beatles and performed their numerous hits, while also switching up the lyrics. In the end, the group won the talent show.

After receiving positive feedback, the group renamed themselves as the Spiders, and then again as Nazz, and they regularly drove to Los Angeles to play at shows.

In 1968, they renamed their band Alice Cooper after learning that Todd Rundgren's band was also called Nazz. The band quickly gained producer Frank Zappa's attention and got signed to Straight Records.

The band debuted their album 1969 called Pretties for You, and they released their second album called Easy Action the following year, and the rest was history.

Alice Cooper's next era

Alice Cooper may be 78, but he shows no signs of slowing down or retirement.

He revealed to The Telegraph: "Of course, Alice is a fictitious character, so he doesn't have an age. I don't know how old Alice is, but on stage, he's the same age he was in 1973. And, and if I ever look different, if I ever gain 100 pounds, I would never play Alice. If I can't do the show with the same energy that I did then, then same thing. I'm never gonna phone it in because it wouldn't be Alice then."

He joked: "I'm certainly not gonna be on a cruise ship, [singing] 'I'm 18. And I don't...' It'll be, 'I'm 80, and I can't find my shoes.'"

The musician concluded: "Rock 'n' rollers now — Paul McCartney, The [Rolling] Stones, Rod Stewart — we were lifers. And we're gonna do this till we can't do it, 'cause I can't think of a better job."
