Glenn Close had an unusually familiar face beside her at her latest premiere: drag artist Alexis Stone, transformed into the actress herself.

The 79-year-old joined Alexis in matching cream outfits for the New York premiere of All's Fair season two on Monday, November 2. With their pale blonde hair, sharply structured shoulders and black leather accessories, the pair made quite the entrance.

Glenn's reaction was every bit as entertaining as the resemblance. Photographs captured her looking up at her taller double with her mouth open, before the two clasped their gloved hands and laughed together.

Their coordinated Matières Fécales looks featured high collars, narrow waist ties and dramatic, shredded detailing around the cuffs and hemlines. Glenn finished hers with black knee-high boots and gold-toned earrings, while Alexis wore pointed boots and sparkling drop earrings.

Alexis's softly curled blonde hairstyle was fuller than Glenn's shorter, side-parted bob, but the carefully recreated face made the tribute unmistakable.

Alexis Stone's transformation into Glenn Close

The British drag artist is known for using prosthetics and makeup to recreate famous faces, with previous transformations including Mrs. Doubtfire, Lana Del Rey and Miranda Priestly from The Devil Wears Prada.

Glenn has inspired Alexis before. For Balenciaga's spring 2024 show in Paris, the performer appeared as Cruella de Vil, the villain Glenn memorably portrayed in Disney's live-action 101 Dalmatians.

At the time, Alexis thanked the actress on Instagram, writing that "your blessing to take on this project was beyond a dream come true."

This time, the inspiration was Glenn herself. The actress happily joined in, alternating between composed poses beside Alexis and broad smiles as they turned toward each other.

The evening also brought Glenn together with Kim Kardashian, Sarah Paulson, Naomi Watts, Niecy Nash-Betts and Teyana Taylor to celebrate the show's return.

Glenn plays Dina Standish, the experienced legal mentor in Ryan Murphy's series about divorce attorneys. The second season arrives on Hulu on November 4.

Her appearance fulfilled a plan she had shared with followers while recovering from surgery, when she explained that attending the All's Fair opening was among the events she hoped to make.

Glenn Close's reassuring recovery update

Glenn recently addressed questions about her use of a cane, explaining in an Instagram video that she had undergone a complete hip replacement.

"I have a cane because I had a complete hip replacement," she said. "Found out that my left hip was in really bad shape."

She explained that her priority was keeping herself "in running order" so she could embrace new challenges, while acknowledging that she was still recovering.

Ahead of her planned appearances, Glenn reassured followers that she had support at home and plenty to look forward to. "Don't worry. I'm feeling great. I have my wonderful, wonderful family around me, and look forward to all the adventures coming."
