Glenn Close

Glenn Close is an American actress who began her acting career on stage in 1974, and made her television debut the following year in Great Performances. Her first film role was in The World According to Garp (1982), which landed her an Oscar nomination and spearheaded her Hollywood career. Since then, she’s won three Tony Awards, three Golden Globes, three Primetime Emmys, and has been nominated for seven Oscars. She has been married four times, and often makes public donations to the Democratic party.
