Emily Ratajkowski took an unconventional approach to her red carpet sartorial agenda as she graced the 026 CFDA Awards dressed in a simple sweater.
However, the supermodel was sure to add her signature daring style to the ensemble with a bold twist. Emily wore a brown and navy V-neck sweater by Tory Burch that featured a cropped silhouette, with the hem grazing above the hip bone. The cozy garment was teamed with a bright-orange leather skirt that boasted a low-rise design with an A-line silhouette. The garment fell just below the knee and added a striking pop of color to the otherwise monochromatic look. The outfit was finished with pointed-toe black leather boots. The surprisingly wearable look oozed fall It-girl dressing while retaining the chic vibe for the red carpet.
Emily's brunette locks were left down in a middle parting with soft waves while her makeup exuded sultry glam, courtesy of a brown smoky eye and a nude lip.
This isn't the first time in recent weeks where Emily has rocked a buttery leather skirt. The 35-year-old previously took to Instagram to show off her ensemble that consisted of a black high-neck bodysuit styled with a leather maxi skirt in a bold mustard-yellow shade. The look was layered with a black leather jacket and Emily accessorized with simple silver hoop earrings.
Emily Ratajkowski secret to her tiny waist
Emily's low-rise leather skirt exposed her tiny waist and sculpted abs. The supermodel's flawless physique is courtesy of her dedication to fitness and wellbeing. "I really like being outside and doing yoga, so I do a lot of hiking in LA," she previously told InStyle. "I have a yoga studio really close to my house that I go to like once a week."
However, the star believes the main positive of working out is that it helps improve her sleep. "For me, the way I sleep afterward is one of the main reasons to work out. I am always on my phone working, and I think that's affected my sleep. I'm also really light-sensitive. When I work out, it's better than taking a melatonin."
She continued: "Most of my life [my physical and mental health] was very disconnected, but now I check in with myself more," she said. “Sometimes that means ordering a mountain of Thai food and staying at home and watching TV – and that can be wellness."
Emily ensures she maintains a balanced routine and allows herself to indulge when she needs it. "I'm all about the balance of that stuff, and I really, as cheesy as this sounds, truly believe that mental and physical are really aligned, so taking care of yourself physically will help you mentally and vice versa," she shared.
