When Grace Kelly walked down the aisle to marry Prince Rainier III of Monaco, the blonde beauty captivated audiences with her show-stopping wedding dress.
The gown, designed by Helen Rose of MGM, was the epitome of romance and instantly transformed the Hollywood star into real-life European royalty.
Nearly 60 years on, Grace's dress still serves as inspiration for fashion houses, from Alexander McQueen who created Kate Middleton's gown to the latest designer — Marchesa.
The celebrity-loved brand — a favourite with stars such as Olivia Wilde, Sandra Bullock, Nicole Richie and Jamie Chung — has just unveiled its spring 2015 bridal collection at New York Bridal Week.

Fashion watchers were quick to note that one of Marchesa's dresses was stunningly similar to Grace's 1956 design. Both Marchesa and Grace's ivory gowns featured a fitted lace bodice and bell-shaped satin skirt, fused together with a pleated waist.
Grace's dress was more complex than it looked – underneath the sheer lace bodice was another strapless one made of silk crepe, while three layers of integrated petticoats gave the skirt its distinctive volume.
The fabrics used ranged from silk tulle, pearl-encrusted rose point lace, delicate Valenciennes lace and dull luster of peau de soie satin.

Oscar de la Renta was another designer who stunned audiences with his dreamy spring 2015 collection at New York Bridal Week.
Actress Kate Bosworth was one of the latest brides to don the designer on her big day, and for women looking to emulate her style, Oscar's latest range was the perfect calling. The collection featured dainty capped sleeves, sweetheart necklines and full, flowing skirts.
