Glee actor Chris Colfer has admitted that he was so surprised by his co-star Naya Rivera's unexpected nuptials that he wasn't entirely sure if they were real.
Speaking to Access Hollywood, Chris, 24, said: "I didn't know, but I was very happy for her. They are a cute couple. I think she's very happy".
"I said, 'Congratulations, that's great,'" Chris revealed.
He added: "I didn't know it was real at first. I wasn't sure if I should congratulate because you never know what’s real anymore".
Glee starlet Naya surprised fans when she married actor Ryan Dorsey in Mexico's Cabo San Lucas just three months after ending her engagement to rapper Big Sean.
Naya, 27, and Ryan, who had reportedly been friends for four years, tied the knot in an intimate ceremony in front of just 12 guests on Ryan's 31st birthday on 19 July, which also happened to be her originally chosen wedding date with her former fiancé.
"We feel truly blessed to be joined as husband and wife," the newlyweds told People when they announced their matrimonial news.
"Our special day was fated and everything we could have ever asked for. True love always prevails."
For her walk down the aisle, the bride wore a white backless Monique Lhuillier lace gown with a scalloped neckline and long sleeves, while the groom wore a Dolce & Gabbana suit.
Naya's engagement and wedding rings were designed by celebrity favourite Neil Lane, as was husband Ryan's white gold band.
Having arrived back in Los Angeles on Friday, the newlyweds are starting out their lives as Mr and Mrs. The pair were spotted after landing, as Naya showed off her dazzling rings and her new hubby attended to the couple's luggage.
