Alex Jones may have previously admitted to being "disorganised" when it comes to planning her wedding with fiancé Charlie Thomson, but she is making progress. The One Show presenter has confirmed that she has finally set a date for her big day, but didn't reveal when she will be walking down the aisle.
"Charlie and I aren't that organised, so my mum's doing a lot of the planning," she told Fit & Well magazine. "We have set a date and we're looking at venues in Wales."

The Welsh presenter also opened up about what helped to connect herself and Charlie, an insurer broker who is originally from New Zealand.
"Friends and family are important to me and Charlie. We've been bought up in similar ways and have the same morals about things, which is important," Alex explained. "Our mums are very similar. When I first went to visit Charlie's parents in New Zealand for the first time, I saw his mum at the airport and from a distance she looked like mine. They even have the same sofa!"
Alex announced her engagement on The One Show in February, later admitting that she was very "relaxed" when it came to planning her big day.

"We're very relaxed, I mean disorganised really," Alex said during an appearance on ITV's Lorraine. "So mum is pushing. She said, 'You know we could do this by the end of the year if you and Charlie get a move on.' But we haven't looked at anywhere, it would be nice to do it within the next few months."
She added that her wedding will be an intimate, family affair, explaining: "It'll be just with our close friends and family and a day when everybody can have a bit of a laugh.
"Words like 'favours' and 'bridesmaids' and 'colour schemes' are starting to get on my nerves already. I think everybody turns up, there'll be some wine and it'll be a nice day."
