Nearly five months after Bobbi Kristina Brown was discovered in an unresponsive state, her aunt has confirmed that the 22-year-old has been moved to hospice care. "Despite the great medical care at numerous facilities, [her] condition has continued to deteriorate," Pat Houston said on Wednesday in a statement.

"As of today, she has been moved into hospice care. We thank everyone for their support and prayers. She is in God's hands now."

Bobbi, whose mother was the late Whitney Houston, was in April said to have "irreversible brain damage".

Speaking to People magazine in April, her grandmother Cissy said: "I have just returned from visiting my granddaughter Bobbi Kristina in the hospital and while she is no longer in a medically induced coma she has a tracheotomy and according to the doctors she has global and irreversible brain damage and remains unresponsive.

"Meeting with the doctors and understanding that she can live in this condition for a lifetime truly saddens me. We can only trust in God for a miracle at this time. Keep us in your prayers."

Bobbi was found in a bathtub at her home in February, almost two years to the day after her mother was found dead in a bathtub in an LA hotel. Her devastated family later confirmed that she was "fighting for her life".

Contrary to original reports, Bobbi was found by a friend, and not her boyfriend, 25-year-old Nick Gordon, who has since sought professional help after feeling overwhelmed by Bobbi Kristina's situation.

Speaking in a televised interview with Dr. Phil McGraw prior to rehab, Nick admitted that he had been contemplating suicide.

He also revealed the "severe pain, mental anguish and panic attacks" he had experienced since the hospitalisation of Bobbi, where tensions arose between Nick and Bobbi's family after Bobbi's rap star father Bobby Brown banned Nick from her bedside.
