Kourtney Kardashian took charge of the little ones in the family on Wednesday while the adults rushed to be by Lamar Odom's bedside. The 36-year-old attempted to keep the girls' routine in place by taking her daughter Penelope and niece North West to their ballet lesson in Los Angeles.

The mum-of-three, who wore grey jeans and a T-shirt with sunglasses to shield her eyes from the waiting photographers, looked a little downcast as she carried the youngsters into their class, helped by a friend.

Kourtney was trying to maintain a sense of normality for the girls after the rest of the family, including North's mum Kim Kardashian, flew to Las Vegas where Khloé's ex-husband Lamar is in a critical condition in hospital.

However she was later pictured arriving at the Sunrise Hospital on Wednesday afternoon, joining Khloé, Kim, her brother Rob and mum Kris Jenner. Their 19-year-old sister Kendall Jenner also flew in from Shanghai Fashion Week to join the rest of the family.

Lamar was admitted to hospital on Tuesday after being found unconscious at a legal brothel in Nevada. A hospital source told E! News that Lamar is likely to have had an accidental overdose, which may have caused him to suffer a stroke.

Kourtney's former brother-in-law is not the only family member she has to worry about following the news that her ex Scott Disick has reportedly checked into rehab. The 32-year-old has entered the facility for his struggles with drug and alcohol abuse, and is said to be determined on getting help.

A source told E! News that Scott wants to be "the best dad he can possibly be", and is aware he needs to make changes in his life following months of partying and the end of his nine-year relationship with Kourtney in July.
