Gareth Jones has taken to social media to announce his engagement to long-term girlfriend, Emma Rhys-Jones. The Real Madrid footballer shared snaps of his new fiancée's stunning ring as they posed together.
The Welsh-born star shared three photos of himself with his fiancée and friends, who had been celebrating his 27th birthday over the weekend, to announce the engagement. In the engagement snaps, Emma looked stunning in a black tiered maxi dress, while Gareth was dressed in a smart casual jeans and shirt. He captioned the tweet: "She said yes! This is a birthday weekend I won't forget for a long time."

Fans were quick to congratulate the happy couple, with one writing: "Congratulations Bale, wish you two the best," while another joked: "Congrats Gareth! If she changes her mind I'm available."
The couple had been dating since secondary school and share two daughters, Alba Violet, who was born in October 2012, and Nava Valentine, who was born in March of this year.
Gareth had previously revealed that the trademark heart-shaped sign he makes with his hands after scoring goals was meant as a message to Emma. He said: "My girlfriend asked what I would do if I scored. I told her I would make the heart sign."

He also told WalesOnline about how he loves to spend time with his family, saying: "I don't go out, so I don't get attention from girls.
"They're not going to have posters of me on their walls. I know people of my age like to go clubbing but it doesn't interest me that much. I just like chilling indoors, watching DVDs or going for a meal with the family."
