What's more, The Kelly Clarkson Show host also reunited with her former mother-in-law, Reba McEntire, who she has remained close to since her split from Brandon Blackstock.
Kelly and Reba teamed up together on Monday's The Voice to kick off the Knockout round, with the country singer working as a Mega Mentor alongside her former daughter-in-law, who is one of the coaches on the NBC talent show.
The pair were more than happy to be working together - as you will see from the video below. After the footage was shared on social media, fans were quick to have their say.
"I love how close they always have been and still are. Love them both," one wrote, while another remarked: "Love these two ladies." A third added: "Dream team!"
Despite Kelly's split from Brandon in 2020, Reba has spoken openly about her bond with both the singer and her stepson.
After their divorce, the singer and actress opened up about the heartbreaking situation when she said: "You know, I love them both.
Brandon’s my stepson, Kelly’s my good friend… I am pulling for both of them. I hope they’re happy and healthy and pull through this. "I pray everyone gives them the encouragement they can because they need it right now, both of them do. I love them both of them with all my heart."
Reba is also a doting grandmother to Kelly and Brandon's two young children, River, eight, and Remington, six. Hours before The Voice aired, Kelly had taken to social media to share footage of herself expressing her excitement at two upcoming celebrations - her birthday and her new album.
She wrote alongside the clip: "Y’all are invited to my birthday at The Belasco. We’ll be celebrating my new songs #mineme and my upcoming album #chemistry. It’s all happening next Monday, April 24th and tickets go on sale today at 12PM PT. Hope to see y’all there!"
