Seal is a doting father to four children, who he shares with ex-wife Heidi Klum. Notoriously private, the Kiss From A Rose hitmaker rarely talks about his personal life, but gave an insight into an emotional and heartwarming moment involving his kids during a chat with Jennifer Hudson this week.
On Monday's The Jennifer Hudson Show, the Crazy hitmaker opened up about how his partner Laura Strayer surprised him with a party for his 60th birthday by pretending they were going out for dinner with his children.
Instead, all of the star's loved ones were waiting for him as they entered his friend's home. "How she managed to keep it a secret from me for so long, I just don't know," he said.
The special moment was captured on social media, and he was so overwhelmed by it all. "I just lost it. You saw me burst out into tears there. I just couldn't hold back the tears because we're all so good at deflecting compliments and deflecting love when it's thrown our way... We're all so good at that."

He continued: "But when you see roughly 200 of the people that are really meaningful in your life — people that you've met, you know very well, you've known for a long time and some that you've met in passing but have had an effect on you. When you see them all there, it's like this undeniable wall of love. And then you ask yourself the question, why are they all here? There's only one answer why they're all here and it's because they care. When you accept that, it's really overwhelming."

The pair have a very strong bond, and Seal met Heidi when she was just two weeks pregnant with Leni. He went on to officially adopt Leni, whose biological father is Italian businessman Flavio Briatore.
During a red carpet appearance with Leni in 2021 for the premiere of The Harder They Fall, Seal had the sweetest words to say about his daughter.

He told Entertainment Tonight of their close bond: "It's always been like this, from the day I met your mother. She [Heidi] was two weeks pregnant with this beautiful woman. We have always had this bond."
