Zoe Ball has revealed she sees her 16-year-old daughter Nelly "less and less" as she has chosen to live more with her dad, Fatboy Slim.

The Radio 2 host revealed on Dig It, the podcast she co-presents with Jo Whiley, that while Jo has a very busy household, Zoe's life at home is contrastingly quiet.

Zoe, who also shares 25-year-old Woody with the "Praise You" DJ, said, "Mine's so quiet, it’s like ugh! It's less and less because Nel is based more at her dad's now. I think she’s got to that point of, 'Ah, can I just be in one place?'"

The presenter elaborated: "It's just nice not having to move from house to house, so she’s just spending more time there now."

The mother-of-two explained that despite living largely separately, it hasn't impacted their relationship as Fat Boy Slim - whose real name is Norman Cook- lives "around the corner."

Zoe continued: "It's only around the corner, and I can nip round at any time, which is great, and she can come here if she gets upset about anything like, 'Mum, I need you', but it's less and less."

Despite their split, the former couple, who married in 1999 and announced their separation in 2018, live close to one another in Brighton.

Zoe's recent reveal

The update on Nelly's living situation came after Zoe revealed she was in the running to become the new host of Strictly Come Dancing.

Last week, it was revealed that Emma Willis, Josh Widdicombe and Johannes Radebe will be replacing Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman as hosts of the glittering BBC programme.

Earlier this month, Zoe revealed that she was one of the names in the running for hosting duties, but ultimately missed out.

"I didn't get it, but it's OK," she said on her Dig It with Jo Whiley and Zoe Ball podcast. "I have worked through the seven stages of grief and rejection over the last couple of days."

Upon news of the new cast being announced, Zoe couldn't have been happier and shared a sweet message about the new lineup.

"CREW. Congrats Emma Jojo and Josh. You're gonna ROCK IT," she wrote, with three disco ball emojis followed by three red love hearts.
