Almost 20 years after being wrongly convicted for the murder of her roommate, Meredith Kercher, Amanda Knox's story is now being revisited in the Disney+ drama, The Twisted Tale of Amanda Knox, which is currently airing on ITV in the UK.
Executively produced by Amanda herself, the eight-part series stars Grace Van Patten (Tell Me Lies) as the eponymous American college student, who is imprisoned for murder just weeks after arriving in Italy to study abroad. The series tracks Amanda's fight to prove her innocence.

Amanda's husband and children
Amanda is married to author Christopher Robinson. The pair began dating in 2015 after meeting at a book launch.
While Christopher knew Amanda had been involved in a scandal, he was unaware of the specifics. "He thought it had something to do with someone being pushed out of a window," Amanda told The Guardian.

Speaking to People in 2017, Amanda said of her other-half: "My hope is that I have a partner with whom I can continue to take on the world ... and I very much love Chris and feel like he is my partner."
The couple share two children: daughter Eureka Muse Knox-Robinson, who was born in 2021, and son, Echo Knox-Robinson, who arrived in September 2023.
While Amanda tends to keep her children out of the spotlight, she often posts snaps of them on Instagram - and they look just like their mother with their long brunette hair.

Amanda, who loves spending time outdoors, has shared several photos of the family enjoying woodland walks and trips to the beach, although she keeps her children's faces concealed.

Island life
In 2019, Amanda and her husband bought a home on Vashon Island near Seattle.

"It's been nice being part of a small community as opposed to singled out under a harsh, international spotlight," she told the Mercer Island Reporter in 2022.
