While the 2000s ended decades of the Hollywood bachelor, with several major names finally settling down, the 1990s was positively bursting with them.

From long-time hunks who we'd been crushing on for years to emerging heartthrobs, there were plenty of people who were turning heads on the streets of Tinseltown.

Others had major high-profile relationships during the decade, including Brad Pitt with Gwyneth Paltrow, with the Fight Club star meeting Jennifer Aniston by the end of the decade, but others remained on the market as the millennium came to an end.

Here's what happened to some of the biggest bachelors of the decade, and whether they've now settled down…

We all had a crush on young Leo

Leonardo DiCaprio

If the 1990s belonged to anyone, then it had to be Leonardo DiCaprio, who burst into the public consciousness thanks to roles in Romeo + Juliet and Titanic. With his cheeky smile and boyish good looks, Leo was the It Boy of the decade, but it was only in 1999 that he left the singles market, entering into a relationship with model Gisele Bundchen.

The pair eventually went their separate ways, and despite several high-profile relationships, the actor has never made it down the aisle. Leonardo started becoming a meme in his later life due to dating women around the age of 25, despite their age gap. Although unmarried, he has been in a relationship with Italian model Vittoria Ceretti, 28, since 2023.

The actor ended the decade as a heartthrob

George Clooney

Although ER star George Clooney entered the 1990s as a happily married man, by 1993, he and Talia Balsam had split, and he remained a singleton for the rest of the decade, becoming one of the most notorious bachelors in Hollywood.

The star became an A-lister during the decade, and while he was known for brief relationships with high-profile actresses, including Cameron Diaz and Frances Fisher, George wouldn't truly find love again until 2014 when he proposed to human rights lawyer Amal Alamuddin. The couple, who have now welcomed twins, are still together.

Another breakout star of the 1990s, Keanu Reeves stole hearts as an action hero in the likes of Point Break and Speed, before landing the lead role in the Matrix films, with the first one coming to cinemas as the decade closed.

Keanu was single for most of the decade, but in 1998, he started dating Jennifer Syme. The couple briefly split in 2000 following the birth of their stillborn child, but they reconciled before her death in 2001. Keanu remains unmarried, but since 2018, he has been dating artist Alexandra Grant.

David was the sporting heartthrob of the decade

It wasn't just Hollywood stars who were heartthrobs at the time, as star England player David Beckham was also turning heads off the football pitch. The football icon was sought after, and he was single for most of the decade.

However, in 1997, he left the bachelors market behind as he formed a relationship with Posh Spice, Victoria Beckham. The couple are still together after marrying in 1999, and they're the proud parents to four children, Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz and Harper.

The hunk remained single for the decade

Mark Wahlberg

As Marky Mark, Mark Wahlberg had everyone swooning, especially over his steamy Calvin Klein ads and star turn as an adult film actor in the 1997 film Boogie Nights. Even though it was the 2000s that Mark's acting career really took off, the star was still a bachelor for the 1990s.

Since 2001, Mark has been in a relationship with model Rhea Durham, with the pair marrying in 2009. They have since welcomed four children together.

The royal was a pin-up for many teenagers

Prince William

We end this list with the surprise heartthrob, Prince William, who became a pin-up for teen girls across the nation. Although he only turned 18 in 2000, he was still the ultimate girl crush thanks to his casual style and high prestige.

The Prince of Wales is famously off the market, meeting the Princess of Wales during their time together at St Andrews University, before marrying her in 2011. The couple now share three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.
