Corinna Schumacher has been fiercely protective of her husband, Michael Schumacher, after the seven-time world champion suffered a horror accident while skiing in 2013.
Since Michael's release from hospital, she has been caring for the F1 star at Villa La Reserve, their 15-acre estate in Switzerland. However, in a new Netflix documentary about the driver, she has shared some insights into their relationship.
One of her biggest bombshells was how her own mother disapproved of their romance in its early stages. "My mother was completely against it," she said in Schumacher '94: The Birth of a Legend. "Michael was always at the go-kart track and was always pushing others out.
"My mother always said: 'Look at Schumacher! They have a go-kart track at home, they throw out anyone who does anything wrong, and now he's throwing people out!' My mother would say: 'Schumacher, Schumacher'."
She also revealed a very special song for the couple, that being Paula Abdul's Rush Rush. She emotionally explained: "That was our song back then. When I hear it today and I'm in the car, I cry to myself."
Schumacher '94: The Birth of a Legend follows Michael in the 1994 F1 World Championship. The star, who was driving for Benetton at the time, won the Drivers' Championship for the first time that year. He would also win in 1995, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003 and 2004.

Horrific plot against Michael Schumacher
Last year, three men were sentenced after they conspired to release 900 private photos, 600 videos, and confidential medical records of the F1 star unless they were paid £12.4 million.
One of those involved was the family's former security guard, Yilmaz T, who was given a three-year sentence in prison for his role, which Corinna called "far too lenient".
Yilmaz's son Daniel received a six-month suspended sentence for aiding and abetting, while another former security guard, Markus F, received a two-year suspended sentence.
Sharing her shock following the "massive breach of trust," Corinna released a statement saying: "We have appealed against what we consider to be a far too lenient sentence for Mr. F.

Corinna has shared the occasional update into her husband's condition, and in the documentary Being Michael Schumacher, she said: "We are trying to carry on as a family, the way Michael liked it and still does. We live together at home. We do therapy. We do everything we can to make Michael better and to make sure he’s comfortable.
