While George and Amal Clooney have remained one of Hollywood's most private couples in their 12 years of marriage, the Ocean's Eleven actor previously revealed they have a golden rule in their home life.
George once famously declared that the pair have "never had an argument". In an interview with CBS News, the Hollywood star explained that he doesn't sweat the small stuff.
"When you’re younger, you want to be right about everything, you know. ‘Don’t paint that color wall!'” he said.
"And you know, Amal and I – everybody gets ticked off when I say it – but we've never had a fight. We never had an argument. And some of it is because I'm at this point in life where if she wants to paint the wall red, I don't care. You get to a point in life where you just go, why would that be a discussion or an argument?" he continued.
George added that they "have a really amazing relationship because we're also so supportive of each other that it's like I don't care."
"When I was younger, I don't know that that would have been the case - I think I would have found things to, you know, stick my chest out about that I can go now, 'It doesn't matter, I don't care,," he said.
The pair have 'never had an argument'
George and Amal first met in July 2013 and tied the knot just over a year later in September 2014.
In June 2017, their family expanded with the birth of their twins: Alexander and Ella. These days, the family call France home and live on a gorgeous 18th-century wine estate in Brignoles, Provence.
In 2022, George revealed that throughout the relationship, he'd never had an argument with Amal. "It's maddening to some of our friends," Amal said after her husband's statement.
"I have a cousin, actually, every time we see him he's like, his first question is, ‘So have you had an argument yet?’ before he says hello."
Speaking to Gayle King on CBS Mornings last year, George shared that they "still haven't" fought. "We're trying to find something to fight about!" he said.
