CBS Mornings' Gayle King put on a different kind of show on July 16, as the new anchor rocked a bold plunging neckline and a figure-hugging dress for back-to-back VIP events.
Gayle was out and about in New York City, with the news anchor rocking a gorgeous red-orange sheath dress that hit below her knees, and featured a dramatic neckline with structured cap sleeves.
The 71-year-old attended the TIME100 Sports Gala at Pier 60 in New York City before uniting with Novak Djokovic for the premiere of his new documentary, The Wolf In Winter. The reunion on the red carpet comes after years of interviews between the tennis champion and Gayle, leading to a friendship.
Gayle has never been afraid of bold color or dramatic looks; the veteran broadcaster wowed fans in a sleeveless metallic high-neck gown with a silhouette that skimmed her figure beautifully for the 2026 Grammys.
In 2025, she rocked a divisive look at the F1 premiere, attending the event in a pinstripe dress paired with a matching oversized blazer, and wore Sneex high-heel sneakers featuring a black and white pattern and Velcro straps.
She has also previously revealed that CBS Mornings co-anchor Nate Burleson often helps her pick outfits.
At the Father's Day/Mother's Day Council's Father of the Year Award, Gayle wore a form-fitting jersey dress and was quick to share that she was in attendance "because of Nate Burleson," and revealed: "He picked out my outfit."
"He's the fashionista of CBS Mornings," she said.
From the Grammys to sports and TV, Gayle has always moved comfortably between different worlds.
Gayle has been with the network for 14 years, and is best known as a co-host of CBS Mornings, spending years interviewing the likes of Novak, Taylor Swift, Michelle Obama, and, most notably, a controversial 2019 interview with R Kelly.
But in 2025, her future looked uncertain as CBS grappled with declining ratings and financial woes. Her salary had been reduced from $13 million a year to $10 million, and amid changes at the C-suite level, it was unclear if Gayle would remain on board.
However, on March 4, 2026, the renewal of her contract at CBS was confirmed
"Rumors of my demise were inaccurate and greatly exaggerated,” Gayle said, quoting Mark Twain. "CBS News is my longtime home, and I am committed to our mission. I’m excited about continuing at CBS Mornings. As always, I’m open to new adventures here and ready to go. It took a minute, but we got there. And now that we are here, I am all in."
Gayle currently co-hosts CBS Mornings alongside Nate and occasionally Vladimir Duthiers.
