The Princess of Wales is proving to be the poster girl for this transitional period, stepping out on Thursday sporting a chocolate brown trench coat, a green turtleneck jumper and dark jeans.
Princess Kate looked effortlessly chic in her autumn ensemble for her engagement on the Isle of Bute alongside her husband Prince William.

The Prince and Princess of Wales, known in Scotland as the Duke and Duchess of Rothesay, arrived by ferry for their very first visit to the Isle of Bute. They are present to celebrate local community initiatives. The royals stopped by the Bute Shinty Club where they learnt how the sporting venue serves as a vital social hub for residents. The journey builds on their ongoing engagement with Scottish island life, following their visits to Iona and Mull last year.
We often see Princess Kate in the quintessentially British brand, Burberry, and she has now established quite the collection of coats and jackets. Earlier in the year, she sported a camel-hued coat - a classic look for an outing in Winchester. Back in 2023, she wore a quilted jacket, also from the brand.
