Tasked with opening the hotly anticipated and world-renowned Victoria's Secret fashion show, it's no surprise Behati Prinsloo has been following a strict regime ahead of the event. Talking exclusively to HELLO! Fashion backstage at the lingerie show, Behati revealed that she has been "staying away from carbs, salt and sugar". "I have been eating a lot of protein and vegetables instead, and drinking lots of water," the Namibia-born model, who is married to Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine, told us.

The results of Behati's strict regime were clear to see

She did, however, admit to enjoying a sweet treat every once in a while. "I still eat chocolate sometimes, and I did have a few French fries before the show! My favourite treat, though, is definitely Haribos, I love them." Behati also opened up on her exercise regime, revealing that she steps her workouts up ahead of the show. "Usually I work out two times a week when it's not the show, but two weeks before the show I did something active every day, even if it's just yoga or swimming... I tried to do at least an hour of something every day."

The Naminia-born model was stunning on the famous catwalk

Behati was bestowed the honour of opening the show this year, but she was nervous about the huge responsibility. "I am so, so nervous," she said. "I'm opening the show this year and we have so much to get right – the timing and the music etc. I'm so nervous I can't even speak!" She added: "It's so amazing and so stressful all at the same time. It's such a huge moment that I will always be nervous."
