Ellie Goulding stunned as she took to the stage in a 600 square foot dress for the Royal Variety Performance at the London Palladium. The singer ensured she more than stood out from a line-up that included Dame Shirley Bassey, One Direction and Ed Sheeran as she performed her singles in front of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.
It took three people five days to construct the incredible dress, which featured a lace embellished corset top with a long white train, and had a circumference of over 33 metres.
There were also four puppeteers hidden under the material making it move as Ellie was suspended into the air to show off the incredible 6.5 metre train.
Speaking of her performance, Ellie said: "The Royal Variety performance has had the most unbelievable list of iconic performers take part over the last 100 years.
"To be able to be a part of this incredible event is truly an honour."
The 27-year-old was obviously pleased with her dress as she shared two pictures of herself in the bespoke stage outfit on Instagram on Sunday.
Ellie is one of William and Kate's favourite musicians and was famously asked to perform at their wedding reception in 2011. The Royal Variety Performance airs on ITV on Monday night.
