The Charlie and the Chocolate Factory star will front the campaign for the brand's new cologne for men, which will be created by Dior's in-house perfumer François Demachy. Although further details have yet to be revealed, the news has already caused a stir on social media.
Johnny joins an already impressive line-up of brand ambassadors including Natalie Portman and Charlize Theron who are currently the faces of the label's other fragrances Miss Dior and J'adore Dior.
The news that Johnny will feature in a Dior advert has caused quite the commotion amongst fans who are eagerly awaiting to see the upcoming photos – the actor has been keeping a relatively low profile in recent years, rarely giving interviews and appearing in a handful of films.

No doubt the Edward Scissorhands star has been enjoying the first few months of married life with actress and model Amber Heard – the couple married in February this year in an intimate ceremony on Johnny's private island in the Bahamas, days after legally tying the knot in Los Angeles.
"The weather was perfect and the beach setting was gorgeous," a source told People of Johnny and Amber's special day. "The ceremony was beach casual and intimate, yet very romantic."
The father-of-two caused a stir last week when he was spotted reprising his role as Captain Jack Sparrow to filming the latest instalment for the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise.
