"The recent reports regarding Victoria's Secret and Miranda Kerr signing a new contract are completely untrue, and we have no idea how they got reported," they told People. "Victoria's Secret appreciates all that Miranda has done with the brand, and all the amazing things she continues to do with her own projects, but there are no plans, on the part of either party, to renew."

Speculation was first sparked after it was reported that the brunette beauty was going to make a surprise return to the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show in New York, in which she last appeared in 2012.

"Miranda and VS are talking about her designing a capsule collection with a portion of the proceeds going to one of her charities and her being the surprise angel to take the runway when the show returns to NYC," an inside told The Fix. "Miranda thought her angel days were over, but they're making her an offer too good to refuse."

A Victoria's Secret spokesperson has denied reports that Miranda is returning to the brand

Miranda first began working with Victoria's Secret in 2006, and quickly rose to Victoria's Secret angel status. However in 2013 she and the label parted ways, amidst speculation that she was being let go because she was "not a big seller for VS" according to US Weekly.

However, the brand's president Ed Razek swiftly quashed the claims in a statement. "Miranda Kerr is one of the best models in the history of the business – and easily one of the most popular," he said. "She is also a consummate professional. Any rumours to the contrary are simply untrue.

"While her international commitments have kept her away from us more than we'd like over the past few years, she will always be an Angel to me."
