It appears that on the day of her sister’s wedding, the Duchess of Cambridge wowed in not one, but two different outfits. Kate has long been known for her love of the high street, and eagle-eyed fans appear to have identified the dress she wore on the way to the church – and it cost just £39.99. Over on Twitter, bloggers such as Kate’s Closet and What Kate Wore, have posted images of a Zara shirt dress – which indeed looks similar to the design the Duchess is photographed in. The summer-ready number is adorned in a whimsical floral shirt dress and features three-quarter length sleeves and an ultra-feminine maxi-skirt.

Kate later changed to an understated powder-pink Alexander McQueen dress, which featured pleat detailing to the back and buttons on the cuffs. As ever, Kate looked fantastic in her bespoke, ultra-feminine ensemble. She accessorised with a pair of nude court shoes, a pretty rose-adorned headpiece and special edition earrings by Kiki McDonough.

The down-to-earth royal regularly mixes designer and high street clothes, and has been known to shop at stores including Topshop, Asos and L.K. Bennett. It was recently revealed that she has even been picking up some stunning fashion accessories from an antiques store – who also have supplied kit to the cast of Downton Abbey. At the recent royal Garden Party, the 35-year-old accessorised her look with a clutch bag purchased from Alfies Antique Market in Marylebone, London. The royal picked out her purchase from Tin Tin Collectables, a dealer at Alfies.

Meanwhile, Kate worked another fabulous look last week, stepping out at Wimbledon in a black-and-white polka dot dress by Dolce & Gabbana. The 36-year-old looked summer-ready in the bold print frock, which is currently reduced from £1,550 to £930 online. The ultra-feminine dress featured a scoop neck and cropped sleeves, and flares gently into a knee-length skirt.
