Alberta Ferretti has unveiled a collection of vacation-ready garments for spring/summer 2018. The Italian fashion designer launched her latest line as part of Milan Fashion Week on Wednesday evening, with the likes of style blogger Chiara Ferragni and journalist Anna Dello Russo perched on the front row.
In spite of the autumnal weather setting in, Ferretti's range had a summery feel, and included swimwear, jumpsuits and slinky slip dresses.
Model Gigi Hadid opened the show in a black swimsuit with spaghetti straps which was matched with a black wrap and flat silver studded sandals.
Her younger sister Bella Hadid followed, and rocked a strappy black bikini top with relaxed black shorts and jacket. Karlie Kloss rocked the runway in a chocolate-brown one-piece with plunging neckline which was paired with bronze-hued jacket, while Alessandra Ambrosio ramped up the glamour in an ankle-length black dress accessorised with black high heel sandals.
In addition to swimsuits, Ferretti offered up pieces that would take any jet-setter straight from the beach to cocktail hour.
Using touches of metallic fabric, the designer had Hailey Baldwin strut her stuff in a silver strapless minidress, while a parade of models in draped Greek goddess-inspired gowns followed.
A highlight had to be a shiny sleeveless lilac gown, as was a coral-coloured chiffon dress with fine draping on the skirt and a cape covering the shoulders.
A party theme was evident in an opalescent blazer and short combination which was matched with a pink jumper emblazoned with the word "Saturday", a pale mint green metallic kaftan, a tiered silver-blue gown, and a bronze minidress paired with a pale pink overcoat.
To conclude the presentation, Ferretti had Izabel Goulart walk the runway in a silver sequin minidress with deep-V neckline, and Joan Smalls wear pink low-rise trousers paired with an ice-blue shirt tied at the midriff.
