Alice + Olivia has unveiled a capsule collection inspired by The Beatles. The New York-based fashion brand, helmed by designer Stacey Bendet, tends to veer towards a bohemian aesthetic with clothes featuring bright colours and bold patterns. For Bendet's latest project, she has received the green light to create a range of clothes paying tribute to the iconic British band, with the line marking the first time The Beatles have officially partnered with a womenswear brand.

The Beatles inspired collection features branded jackets adorned with lyrics from their iconic songs

"It is truly a moment in time when the world needs to 'come together,'" Bendet said in a statement, according to WWD. "The Beatles songs, their lyrics, their messaging is so right, right now and their music has always inspired me so it has been an honour to do this collaboration."

The line features a patchwork skirt in colourful fabrics with the words "Love Me Do" embroidered on, a reference to The Beatles' 1962 single. There's a range of shirts and sweaters printed with famous lyrics too, such as I Want to Hold Your Hand, Can't Buy Me Love, and Here Comes the Sun.

The collection features a vibrant colour pallette and printed T-shirt dresses

In addition, the collection features a T-shirt dress printed with the famous Abbey Road photograph of Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, and the late John Lennon and George Harrison.

Accessories come in the form of a beaded clutch purse with sunshine motif and a box bag with heart print and the slogan, "All You Need Is Love".

The range will be released in conjunction with the broadcast premiere on U.S. network PBS of the Grammy award-winning documentary The Beatles: Eight Days a Week - The Touring Years. Released in September 2016, the Ron Howard-directed film looks at The Beatles' career from 1962 to 1966.

Alice + Olivia x The Beatles will be retail between £150-£990 and will be available at the label's retail stores, online and at select department stores.
