The Chelsea Flower Show is well underway for 2026! Kicking off on Monday, the week-long floral extravaganza is loved by the royal family, and Lady Amelia Windsor was the first royal to step out in style to witness the array of blooms.
It got us exploring the archives, and Duchess Sophie's stunning pink Victoria Beckham suit, which she donned to the 2022 show, is forever etched in our minds.
The 2022 Chelsea Flower Show was particularly special as COVID-19 caused the show to be postponed and adapted for two years, so it was wonderful to see it return to all its glory.
Then known as the Countess of Wessex, Sophie arrived alongside her husband, Prince Edward, and looked perfectly polished. The blonde royal donned a light, almost 'Barbie' pink blazer with matching tailored trousers by one of her favourite designer brands, Victoria Beckham, subtly accessorised with simple gold jewellery and a statement tote bag.
Although this look is four years old, it could easily work today. The vibrant pink tone is still elegant and the ideal summer shade. Suits always appear tailored and refined and are a great alternative to a dress, particularly for formal occasions like parties or weddings. They command attention but also show a degree of formality.
Sophie loves to wear items from Victoria's label, just like her royal relative, the Princess of Wales. The brand appears to have become a firm royal favourite, with the Duchess of Sussex famously stepping out decked in the former Spice Girl's ensembles over the years, too. Sophie's Victoria Beckham suit collection is impressive. She appears to enjoy the brand's wide-leg pair of trousers that come with a flattering high waistline, creating a leg-lengthening effect.
Sophie's twinning pink moment
During the show that year, Sophie actually twinned with the late Queen Elizabeth II. The late monarch donned a fuchsia pink outfit by Stewart Parvin, consisting of a pink lemonade coat and an ivory silk dress. The mother of four carried her favourite Launer London bag.
Queen Elizabeth was patron of the Royal Horticultural Society after her reign began in 1952, and was a regular at the Chelsea Flower Show throughout her time on the throne.
