Between Harriet Sterling's designer wedding gown and Queen Letizia's day out in Spain, white was the dress colour of choice over the weekend.

Letizia joined her husband, King Felipe VI, and their two daughters, Leonor and Sofia, in Madrid on Saturday 6 June to welcome Pope Leo XIV for a historic visit to Spain – and she looked immaculate for the special occasion in a lace dress from luxury Spanish label, The 2nd Skin Co, as identified by Royal Fashion Police on Instagram.

The royal was the picture of elegance in a long-sleeved Guipure dress with a statement belt at the waist for a cinched look. Letizia paired her designer gown, which could easily make for a makeshift modern-style wedding dress, with timeless white slingback heels from Spanish footwear brand, Magrit. Many brides opt for similar modern silhouettes these days, including midi-length styles.

She styled her brunette tresses out in glamorous waves and accessorised with rose gold and diamond earrings from jeweller, Gold&Roses. According to the Instagram fashion page, Letizia wore the ‘Luzia’ 2 Stars Earring, valued at €1,065, and the ‘Luzia’ 3 Stars Earring, worth €1,565, making the total cost of her earrings €2,630 (approx. £2,272).

A sustainable Queen

The royal wore the same dress during a state visit to Egypt in September 2025.

Letizia styled the designer dress slightly different for her previous public appearance, opting for a pair of nude heels instead of white ones. She had her hair out and straight, with the front sections swept back.

A second white dress

The royal stepped wore white again on Sunday 7 June during the Pope's state visit. Letizia walked arm-in-arm with her husband and their daughters in tow while wearing a second belted dress, which appeared to be the £450 'White Tailored Taffeta Midi Dress' from Self-Portrait.

The timeless fitted dress featured buttons at the front and a high neckline with a belt at the waist for a cinched silhouette. Letizia teamed the look with nude slingback heels, a white bag and drop earrings.
